Testimonials
General Manager, Governance, Change and Culture, of a listed finance company, after Melanie’s engagement as Leadership Development Facilitator for the top team, wrote:
“Melanie is highly professional, engaging and has the expertise to ensure all participants are engaged, contribute and get what they need in group leadership development. Melanie has the ability to tailor her programs and services to meet the needs of participants and the business.“
Managing Director of a new design business, formerly Director Customer Experience & Innovation – listed telco:
“I engaged Melanie Gowlland for coaching at a time I moved from a middle management to senior leadership position as part of the Executive Leadership Team.
My requirement at the time was support transitioning into a more demanding and strategic role whilst not giving more of myself as I was already burning out. I was personally challenged to let go of supporting people in my team in a very time consuming manner and wanted to enable them to thrive with less of my time investment. I also wanted to focus on how to be an effective influencer in the more senior position given my role was change oriented.
I chose Melanie, as she is a subtle but effective challenger and exactly the style that worked for me. Melanie and I would have deep intellectual discussions on the psychology of working relationships, my preferences and habits and bringing to the surface my intrinsic motivators and default behaviours. Bringing self-awareness on my actual behaviours verse ideal behaviours, Melanie was an incredible support over this transition. Melanie held me to account yet gave me the room to explore new ideas independently. In my own coaching and mentoring role I have shared many of the insights that Melanie brought during our coaching relationship. I would not hesitate in recommending Melanie to any leader or organisation that is seeking a highly respected and experienced coach.”
CEO of global finance group after completing 12 months of Executive Coaching with Melanie, wrote:
“Melanie has helped me to understand what I do best and what I enjoy most and how I combine these to ensure the best results for the firm and for me personally. Melanie has also been able to act as an effective feedback mechanism and provide the perspective that can be difficult to get when management are in a different time zone. As a result of this coaching I believe I am more of an effective leader for the team in Australia and for my colleagues at head office in the USA and that my transition has enabled me to get to a point today where I can focus on getting results.”
Country Head, international bank, currently working with Melanie Gowlland as his Executive Coach, wrote:
“Have had the pleasure of working with Melanie for 4 months following my executive appointment to a Country Head role. In getting to know me, Melanie has shown a tremendous ability to observe, listen and quickly understand situations and then provide both an in-depth experience and valuable techniques to manage and develop myself in very different and sometimes complex leadership and people management situation scenarios.
She gives clear and thought provoking feedback, which has built my confidence and allowed me to test myself and grow as a leader. This, in such a short period of time.”
Senior Executive – one of the largest owners, managers and developers of retail assets in Australia, wrote after completing 18 months of Executive Coaching:
“Just wanted to share some news Melanie, – I have just been promoted to Head of Finance Office & Logistics. I think that the work we did together over the last 18 months played a big part in giving me confidence and tools to improve my leadership skills and move forward in my career. I’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you again.”
Executive Coach and Leadership Expert, ICF qualified PCC – currently undertaking Coach Supervision with Melanie:
“As a professional coach it is imperative for me to be around a strong coaching support network to be the best coach I can be. Melanie’s coaching supervision is an invaluable part of this support system. Melanie has the ability to deftly balance an energised and empowered style with kindness, empathy and humour. This combination really hit the mark for me, helping me stretch my thinking as a coach in a safe environment, thus deepening my coaching practice through the experience.”
